Key Responsibilities of a General Worker
As a General Worker, you will play an integral role in supporting production processes. Your primary duties include:
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the floors, machines, conveyors, and production areas remain spotless and operational.
- Stocking Dry Goods: Supply production machines with necessary materials from the designated Dry Goods area.
- Reworking Products: Address and rectify any non-conforming products.
- Adhering to Safety Protocols: Strictly follow all safety regulations, procedures, and best practices to maintain a secure working environment.
- Participating in Business Activities: Engage actively in Mini Business initiatives and related operational improvements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Hold a Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- Relevant Experience:
- Previous experience as a General Worker in a production environment is a must.
- Familiarity with the Packaging Skills Programme will be advantageous.
- Key Attributes:
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Physically fit and capable of performing physically demanding tasks.
- Proactive and self-motivated to take initiative without supervision.
- Work Availability:
- Flexible to work shifts, including night shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
